Can What You Eat Make A Huge Difference??

People say, you are what you eat, and that it can change your health and appearance in many ways. Can what you eat really change your appearance?? Like let's say I were to go on a mediterranean diet, would I start looking like a Lebanese person?

  2. Well, I guess when people say you are what you eat, it's exaggerated. OBVIOUSLY, we are not exactly what we eat. But let's say we're always eating junk food, and foods that are loaded with fat - wouldn't it be natural that we'd start gaining weight rapidly? But it's not literal , like.. just because you eat sushi, that you'll turn into a Japanese/Chinese person.
  3. no , diets can't change genetics, although some diets may improve skin etc... i think it means that if you eat about 50 cream buns in a week , you'll fill out like a cream bun .. etc.. get my idea?
  4. You wont start looking like a Lebanese person. What that saying means is how good you look depends on what you eat. For example you can do all the exercise you want, but if you dont have a good eating plan then you'll never get six-pack abs. "abs are made in the kitchen" also eating healthy is just healthy for you. and makes you feel better.
  5. Lol, no. Appearance is genetic. Do you see black people turning white from eating McDonalds? When people say, you are what you eat, it means that if you eat fatty food, you will become a fat person, and thats very true. If you eat healthy, you will be a very healthy person.
  6. If you eat healthy you will be in better shape.
  7. all i know is when you either drink or eat a lot of orange things (carotts mostly) your skin might turna shade of orange
